What a day, took the morning off to get a quote for the installation of solar panels on our house, have a couple of options to go with, Marion and I have decided to go with a larger 4.8 kilowatt system which will produce enough power to run our house… and maybe the house next door to.
The deal is that we give a deposit then make the balance of payments over 10 year period from the savings on our electricity bill.
Received a phone call from Marion about 5.30 today, our 2 dogs had escaped from our backyard, Marion’s son had heard the older black male Labrador (Cooper) out the front barking an went to investigate. Cooper had returned home from his wanderings. Unfortunately our other dog Sonny a Labrador/Golden Retriever cross was still missing.
By the time I got home, Marion had searched the neighbourhood and had made several calls to the council, local vets and animal shelters to see if anyone had heard about Sonny. Marion’s son was in his car seaching as well.
In her travels Marion had called in to the vets around the corner, they had heard some horns beeping and people had called in to say that there were a couple of dogs loose on the road, our dogs it seems.
I went out looking for Sonny and drove around the area where she was last seen, I was driving through the car park of a local Church and saw Sonny wondering around…. I stopped the car, called her over and took her home. We were all relieved to find her well.
The final chapter of the day is getting this blog online… and making my first post.
